A Schmidt Sales Designer is a creative role where you’ll work with customers to bring their dreams to life, with the amazing, ultra-customisable product portfolio we’re known for. 

You’ll own each project from A-Z, at customers’ side from their first consultation to raising the first glass of champagne toasting an amazing job done.

Your typical day might involve:

  • Discussing customers' ideas and dreams
  • Delivering project presentations
  • Taking measurements at customers’ homes
  • Guiding customers to the right products 
  • Creating designs using CAD software
  • Bringing designs to life with virtual reality glasses
  • Putting together project quotations
  • Processing sales documents
  • Liaising with project team and being customers’ contact point
  • Conducting approval inspections after installation

Your Role - Kitchens and Interior Solutions Design and Sales Consultant - Fulfilling. Varied. Creative. Rewarding.

Do you have a talent and passion for exceptional design and service, and enjoy interacting with clients? Then join us as we are looking for a full-time Kitchens and Interior Solutions Design and Sales Consultant at our showroom in Brentwood.

You will offer a bespoke service throughout the project from the initial meeting right through to the installation of the clients’ unique made-to-measure kitchens or interior solutions.

Your will welcome clients in the showroom in a friendly and professional manner; conduct home surveys and take measurements at customers’ homes. Your ability to listen and understand the clients’ needs will result in you offering advice and product recommendations and designing the clients’ dream kitchens. Your enthusiasm and skills will close the sale and complete the project and, last but not least, your attention to detail and willingness to succeed will ensure the clients are satisfied throughout the whole project.

Required profile

Your Skills & Unique Attributes

You have experience working with clients in a kitchen retail environment where you have nurtured your desire to design and furthered your technical knowledge.

You have excellent communication skills and go the extra mile mindset. You can manage multiple projects ensuring clear and timely communication and co-ordination throughout. You thrive in a team environment and are keen to bring your initiative and creativity to your role, while able to work effectively and efficiently to targets and achieve successful sales. 

Previous experience with other German Kitchen brands is Essential.

Being a Schmidt showroom administrator is a rich and rewarding role – and a broad one. You’ll oversee the administration side of the customer journey and all the tasks and actions that lead to a successful customer project delivery to make your showroom a success story.

  • Support: You’ll support the designers during the customer sales journey as a sounding board and point of reference on queries related to supplier lead times, delivery planning, and installation team coordination to deliver the customer projects within their schedule.
  • Project Management: You’ll act as an internal and external point of contact for all project administration elements for every customer project, liaising with the relevant suppliers, logistics, and installation partners to name a few.
  • Operations: You’ll set up internal systems and processes, oversee compliance with organizational procedures and ensure the profitability of the showroom. You’ll ensure your showroom constantly meets the high Schmidt standards – and is a proud representative of our trusted brand.
