A Schmidt sales designer designs and sells high-quality made-to-measure kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and other interiors. It’s a rewarding, varied, and creative career—and one with high earning potential.
We expect to see over 200% growth in the UK over the next few years. We take 900 customer orders daily, with an average sale price ranging from £8,500 to £50,000 so there’s heaps of success potential.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Every day’s a little different, but here’s what your week might involve:
- Listening to customers’ ideas, lifestyles and must-haves
- Sketching out concepts and exploring options together
- Visiting homes to take accurate measurements (and maybe stroke a cat or two)
- Designing in 3D using our CAD software—and wowing clients with immersive VR walkthroughs of their future kitchen
- Guiding clients through materials, finishes and clever features
- Preparing clear, transparent quotes and project documentation
- Managing each project from first consultation to final sign-off
- Working closely with our fitting team to ensure a smooth process
- Checking in post-installation and celebrating a job well done
