Required Experience – An experienced manager with a background in KBB retail, high-end interiors, or premium showroom leadership. Minimum Experience – 2 Years

Required: Access to own car and must hold valid Drivers Licence.

Required: Must hold a Design Degree

 

Lead a high-performing design team and manage a flagship showroom for Europe’s leading interior solutions brand.

We are now searching for a dynamic, commercially focused Showroom Manager to lead our UK showroom to new heights. This is a role for a natural leader who thrives on driving performance, developing people, and managing an exceptional retail environment with precision and pride.


Key Responsibilities

Showroom Leadership & Commercial Performance

  • Lead all daily showroom operations, ensuring a polished, premium environment that reflects the Schmidt brand.
  • Own showroom KPIs including sales targets, conversion rates, margin, and customer satisfaction, ensuring consistent achievement.
  • Proactively manage the showroom P&L and turnover, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Implement "get it right first time" processes to reduce errors, increase efficiency, and protect margin.

Team Management & Development

  • Manage, motivate, and support a team of Sales Designers to achieve individual and collective targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and skills development plans.
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and premium design standards.
  • Ensure designers follow the full Schmidt sales and design process, from first contact to project sign-off.

Customer Experience & Brand Excellence

  • Maintain a showroom experience that inspires customers, drives engagement, and showcases our product range.
  • Oversee customer journeys to ensure seamless handovers between design, project management, and installation.
  • Resolve challenges swiftly, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.

Supplier & Partner Relationships

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, installers, and service partners to ensure reliable delivery and consistent quality.
  • Oversee stock, sample displays, promotional materials, and showroom updates in line with brand guidelines.
  • Work closely with the Schmidt UK support team to ensure operational excellence.

Operational Standards & Process Control

  • Maintain accurate reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management.
  • Lead showroom improvements, new displays, and layout updates with precision and planning.
